Michael Hill has coached at all levels of the game and hasamassed one of the most varied and successful resumes in Manitoba basketball history. He began coaching in 1969 at Linden Lanes School in Brandon. Starting in 1970, he coached for 23 years at Vincent Massey High School as an assistant with the Varsity Girls, the head coach of the Junior Varsity team and as a coach-supervisor of the Grade 7 to 9 teams. He went on to coach at Neelin High School, the Brandon University Bobcat women’s team, in the Senior ‘B’ Women’s league, mini basketball and the University of Manitoba Bisons women. During those years, he won threeMHSAA ‘AAAA’ Provincial Varsity Girls championships, two  Provincial ‘B’ championships, six ‘AAA’ championships, a senior women’scrown, and approximately 50 Brandon City Champio nships at the Varsity and JV levels. In addition, he coached the Westman Regional Juvenile Girls team for many years, conducted Level I and II coaching certification clinics in the Brandon area and coached at the Royal Canadian Legion Camp at the International Peace Gardens. He was selected as a provincial Coach-of-the-Year five
times and the Mike Spack Award winner.
