Bud Rheaume assumed coaching duties of both the Flin Flon Kopper Kweens and the Flin Flon Legionettes from Hec McCaig in 1948. He coached both teams to the Manitoba High School Provincial Championship and Junior Championship (under 19 years of age) for three consecutive years.
In 1950-51, Jim Rheaume joined his brother Bud as an assistant coach, where the Kopper Kweens continued a string of eight consecutive Provincial High School Championships. Jim became head coach in 1954-55 and was joined by assistant coach, Gene Kitchen, where they again captured the provincial championship.
