    Biography



    Lynda Kidd was an outstanding high school player at Hamiota Collegiate 1961 - 1964, setting scoring records every year while leading her high school team, The Atomettes, through zone playoffs to the provincial tournament. She was instrumental in their two provincial championships in 1961 and 1964. Her coaches were Gladwyn Scott, Frank McKinnon and the Rev Ralph Clark.

    In 1964, she was named "Sportsman of the Year" for South Western Manitoba where she was the first female winner. She also set several records at the Provincial High School Track and Field Championships.

    Lynda played for four years at Brandon College where she was an outstanding player with the "Capettes". She was also an outstanding curler and softball player.
