A big congratulations to the 2020 inductee class who will finally get the opportunity to be fully recognized at our annual Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony presented by Manitoba Liquor Mart.  This November, the MSHOF will formally welcome into the Hall of Fame...

  • Jen Saunders (Athlete – Racquetball),
  • Sheldon Kennedy (Athlete/Builder – Multi-sport),
  • Ralph Lyndon (Athlete – Multi-sport) and
  • The 1996 and 1997 University of Manitoba Bison Women’s Basketball Teams . 
It has been a long time coming and we hope that you can join us so we can give these sport legends the recognition they deserve.

The Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony and dinner will take place 

  • Thursday, November 4th, 2021.
  • Doors Open & Cocktails: 5:30 pm  
  • Dinner:  6:00 pm
  • Induction Ceremony:  7:00 pm

Safety is a top priority, so there will be limited seating at this year's event. In line with the current public health orders, guests must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated and wear a mask to attend this event. Proof of vaccination and photo ID must be shown at the door before entering the event. Masks must be worn at all times when not eating or drinking, and we will recognize vaccination exemptions for children 12 and under if they are accompanied by a fully vaccinated adult.

We will honour the others in the Class of 2020 at Sport Manitoba's Night of Champions event on April 21, 2022. We will formally induct the following honourees and will keep you up to date with event and ticket information when it is available.

  • Ruth Klassen (Athlete – Volleyball)
  • Ed Werenich (Athlete – Curling)
  • Marilyn Fraser ( Builder – Athletics)
  • Baxter Humby (Athlete – Kickboxing/Muay-Thai) 
  • Paul Robson (Builder – Multisport)
