In an interview with CBC Sports Jim Agapito, seventy-five years after the Winnipeg Stellars won their second consecutive Canadian Junior Men’s basketball championship, 94-year-old Dick Bevan looks back at the team's legacy and the moment their coach, Martin Terry, put sportsmanship ahead of the score.

Dick, the only surviving member of the two-time Canadian Junior Championship teams was inducted into our Manitoba Basketball Hall of Fame in 1985 after the two championship Stellars teams were inducted in 1983 and 1984.  Dick has been a huge supporter of our Manitoba Basketball Hall of Fame and Museum for many years. Martin Terry, a coaching legend in Winnipeg’s North End, was inducted as a builder in 1984.
